Thunder's Tale-Part 2

Ha Roo Everypup! It's Thunder again and I'm going to tell woo all more about my trip to my furever home. I left off with momma making the decision to have me come live here in Kholwooado.

On January 11th, Summi's mummi came to pick me up from the PAWS shelter that I was at. She said that I did good, but that I had to be helped into her truck bekhause I wasn't too sure about it. Then, we drove to Summi's mummi's mummi's house (ha roo roo roo) to borrow her Jeep for the long trip. After Summi's mummi took all the stuff out of her truck and put it into her mummi's Jeep, we were ready to go to HBBB's house. I got to meet HBBB-well, sorta, I didn't want to go into the house-my momma doesn't think I was used to houses. So, with the Mala-moms, we started our trip to Kholwooado.

We stopped in Kansas to spend the night Friday and picked up Skylar on Saturday morning. Skylar is a 6 month old pup that needed to go to Polaris Siberian Husky Rescue in Denver, Kholwooado and since the mala-moms were already taking me to Kholwooado, they also helped out Skylar. Once we had Skylar, it seemed like we drove and drove and drove furever. I did a lot of sleeping. I did so much sleeping, the mala-moms nicknamed me a "khat in a sibe suit". I'm still not sure if I like that name!

We dropped Skylar off in Castle Rock, Kholwooado and then drove south to my new furever home. I got to meet my new mom, dad, sister Stormy and my pompom brothers JoJo and Bow. My momma is spoiling me like a sibe should be spoiled and teaching me all about being inside the house with her. I really like it here and I'm glad the mala-moms brought me to my new furever home.

Mom's hogging the pawputer

Ha Roo Everypup! Thunder & Stormy here. We just wanted to let you know that our momma has been hogging the pawputer so we haven't been able to blog. Something about school and homework that is due tomorrow. All we heard this weekend was mumbling about getting a Syllabus late and not having enough time.
In the meantime, we joined the "Help find Beau" force. Here we are with our helmets on, waiting for our orders from Supreme Commander Stormy of the AO4.

We are hoping to get the rest of Thunder's story on the blog by Wednesday. Until then, keep it husky.

Thunder's Tale-Part 1

Ha Roo Everypup!!!!! I'm Thunder and I'm the newest addition to this wonderful Khrew of Khanines. My story is a bit longer than my sister Stormy's so I'm going to tell it in two parts.
My momma belongs to this group called Sibernet. She found it after she rescued Stormy and she's learned lots, laughed, cried and made some wonderful friends.
On January 3rd, 2008, my momma saw a posting of me from PAWS rescue in Iowa. They stated that I needed a new home with someone who would love and take care of me. My momma had been searching for a new sibe to add to her Khrew for a few months and wasn't having any luck. She said when she saw my pictures, she just fell in love like she did with Stormy. She told me she printed the page and my pictures and put them up in her office and at home so she could see me all the time. She really wanted to have me come live with her, but she wasn't sure how she was going to get me here. Then, one of the wonderful Mala-Moms said that she could pull me and would drive me all the way to Colorado. Momma was so happy, she could cry. On Friday, January 4th, my momma told Summi's mummi that it was a go and what did we need to do?
Well, Summi's mummi forwarded all my momma's information to the PAWS rescue lady and got the process started. The next day, momma got the forms, she filled them out and immediately sent them back. My new furever home was approved and I was going to come to be with them in a week!
The only wrinkle in this whole episode is my momma felt very guilty about getting me. She had one lady not very happy and crying because she wasn't getting me and one guy sent momma an email saying she needed to let someone else have me and look closer to home here in Colorado. After a very long night, momma emailed Summi's mummi, HBBB's momma and Khyra's momma and told them that she decided to let this other lady have me if she still wanted. Next thing you know, Summi's mummi is calling my momma and she's crying on the phone. Wrinkle fixed. Momma loved me too much already to let me go.
I hope woo enjoyed the first part of my story-tomorrow, it will be the drive and the happy meeting with my new family.

A bit about us

Hi Everyone~ Stormy here. I'm the girl of this group of pals. We as a Khrew, decided that we would each tell our story of how we all came together. Since I'm the only girl (besides my momma), I'm going first of course. My momma told me that she'd been wanting a siberian husky for a long, long time. She finally talked dad into it and they went to the Humane Society here in town. This was on Saturday. Momma said there were 5 huskies there that day, but she couldn't stay away from my kennel. I would go up to the window and look at her and then start pacing again. I was not a very happy girl. They went and asked about me and was told that I was on the last day of a 5 day hold. This meant that the Humane Society was waiting for my owners to come get me. Momma said she didn't care and they put a deposit hold on me. The next morning, as soon as the HS opened, momma and dad were there with JoJo to visit and spring me. I was so happy, I chased JoJo in the yard and we waited patiently for the paperwork to be done. Momma found out that she was going to be my third owner and that my other owners never called or came to get me even though the HS called them lots and lots of time. Momma said she was very, very sad for me and would make me a very happy puppy in the future. I've been with my fur-ever parents for over a year now and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Don't I just look like a happy girl?
Thunder will be posting his story tomorrow.
Woos, wags and wuv to everypup,
Stormy
